Privacy Statement
As the Web grows, privacy becomes a bigger issue to those who use the Internet. We at The Cartoon Factory are as concerned about this as you are. The Cartoon Factory Animation Art Gallery has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our
information gathering and dissemination practices for this site and our
customers. We treat our visitors as we wish to be treated, with respect for everyone's privacy.

On Our Use of Cookies
There are cookies used on our site. What is a "cookie?" A cookie is a technical term for a piece of information that's sent by a Web server to a browser (such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer) and then back again from the browser to the Web server. This can happen with or without your knowledge, depending on how you have set up your browser.
We have ads that use cookies on our site, served by Fastclick.Com. To review their privacy statement, we invite you to link to the Fastclick.Com Privacy Statement. The placement of these cookies on your computer is not a requirement of the use of this site. You may opt-out of taking these cookies by simply setting your browser to reject all cookies.
Information Submitted to The Cartoon Factory
Again, we take the use of any information from our clients very seriously. Our site's e-mail form requires users to give us limited contact information (like their e-mail address) and our e-mailer form asks for (but does not require) additional demographic information (like their zip code, age, or income level). The more information you may choose to submit, the better we can serve you. Ultimately, you choose what you want us to know.
We use customer contact information from the e-mail forms to send the client information and updates as the customer requests. If the customer requests, the customer's contact information is also used for future contact (but only on your request. We do not believe in unsolicited e-mailing.). Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the delete/deactivate section below.
Our site uses an online order form for customers to directly order artwork. While, to accomplish an order, we collect visitor's contact information (like their e-mail and shipping addresses) and financial information (like their account or credit card numbers), that information is not automatically added to our database for future mailings; our customers can make that choice! (Note that unlike many sites, we have that choice automatically set to "NO"- again, the customer must make an active choice for us to archive their information.) Contact information from the order form is used to send orders to our customers. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the client for products is held in a password-protected, secure environment offline.
We do not e-mail visitors unless they have first submitted an e-mail asking us a question. Those people are not added to any e-mail list unless they ask to be. We do not "harvest" e-mail addresses for mailings, either from visits to our sites, or from the web at large. You have to specifically ask to be added to our mailing list!
We do take our clients privacy very seriously, and we do all we can to protect that privacy. If you have any other questions about how we handle the information you give us, just drop us a line!
Information We Get You May Not Know About
Just browsing our site, it is possible for us to gather some information about your browsing experience. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site. An IP address is a number that's automatically assigned to your computer whenever you're surfing the Web. Web servers -- the computers that "serve" up Web pages -- automatically identify your computer by its IP address.
In most cases, you will have a different IP address every time you log on to the
Internet... it is not specific to you.
When guests request pages from The Cartoon Factory, we log their IP addresses. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. This means that a user's session will be logged, but the user remains anonymous to us.
This site contains links to other sites. The Cartoon Factory Animation Art Gallery is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites. In no case is any information from The Cartoon Factory shared with any of these outside links. Ever. We use an outside ad company to display ads on our site. These ads may contain cookies. While we use cookies in other parts of our Web site, cookies received with banner ads are collected by our ad company, and we do not have access to this information.

This site makes chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.
On-line (and Off-Line) Security
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. All information submitted to The Cartoon Factory may be done so in a secure link. Any information we collect is kept off-line, in a password-protected database. Only employees of The Cartoon Factory have access to this database. We have never, nor will we ever sell or share this database to anyone for any purpose. If you ever request us to remove you from this database, you are removed immediately and completely, and no information is kept. If we make any hard-copy print outs of addresses or other information, we shred the papers when we are done.
Children's Privacy
Our site does not specifically target children, but it is inevitable that children will visit a site of this nature. We have taken steps to make sure our Web site meets the guidelines of TRUSTe's Children's program. Please see our COPPA Statement page.
We do not solicit or collect any information regarding the specific age of any of our viewers.
