This hand-painted cel inspired by Sequence 14.1, Scene 15.10 depicts the first meeting between Kenai, a young man who has magically been transformed into a bear, and the irrepressible bear cub named Koda, after Kenai is caught in a snare trap set by hunters. Kenai is about to embark on an adventure in which he learns to see things through the eyes of another creature, and discover the meaning of brotherhood through his friendship with Koda. $1750.00, framed. A release of 15 select images, re-created in editions of only 7 for an overall collection size of only 105 pieces. Produced at the Walt Disney Studios Ink & Paint Department, each cel features 2 ink colors, 10-12 paint colors and 1 special effect harkening back to vintage black & white shades of the original cartoon short, and is paired with a fine-art Giclée background.
